There are several reasons why someone should visit a Singita property.
Reason 1: Conservation at the core
Singita is a conservation and ecotourism brand founded on an enduring 100-year purpose to preserve and protect large areas of African wilderness for future generations. Our purpose has seen the brand grow across borders and cultures, creating advocates for conservation and finding passionate partners along the way. We achieve this by partnering with key non-profit conservation Funds & Trusts and being the trusted guardian of vast stretches of land on the continent. Our conservation model is centered around three core pillars: Biodiversity, Community, and Sustainability.

We work tirelessly to achieve these goals, which our business model supports. It includes sustainable operations across all our lodges and urban offices, and we continuously reduce our ecological footprint, improve conditions for our people, and support extensive initiatives to uplift communities neighboring the areas in which we operate.

Reason 2: Unrivalled guest experience
The combination of the location of our lodges and reserves, their complete exclusivity, and their inimitable game-viewing opportunities is augmented by our award-winning levels of luxury. This ensures that Singita's offering goes above and beyond the expectations of high-end travelers and cements our reputation for providing experiences that guests won't find anywhere else.

Singita is also recognized as one of the most influential buyers of wine on the continent, and our wine lists have scooped up many coveted awards. In terms of décor and design, our refreshing approach to offering a completely different interpretation of safari style and African elegance at each of our lodges and camps – all underpinned by Singita's impeccable service levels and attention to detail – keeps adding a delightful element of surprise.

Reason 3: Sought-after locations
Singita's lodges and camps are in Africa's most iconic wilderness destinations. They offer guests unhindered access to experiences in nature, and our guests have sole access to:
a 33,000-acre private concession in the iconic Kruger National Park in South Africa
a 30,000-acre wildlife sanctuary in Sabi Sand in South Africa
a 350,000-acre private concession in the Serengeti in Tanzania
the 130,00-acre protected Malilangwe Reserve in Zimbabwe
178-acre property within minutes of gorilla-trekking in Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda from Singita Kwitonda Lodge and Kataza House, located right on the edge of the Park.

Travelers stay at Singita because of our remote locations' expansive space and beauty.
But Singita's story dates back almost a century ago and started on a piece of land in a remote corner of the Lowveld, which was purchased by the grandfather of our Founder, Luke Bailes. This 30,000-acre traversing land, which would later become the Sabi Sand Reserve, was transformed from a former hunting concession to an exclusive conservation reserve where all species are protected.
The unique philosophy central to the history of this magnificent family land, which saw its wilderness and wildlife recovered and restored, lives on in each of Singita's award-winning lodges and camps today. Set in four different countries, these sanctuaries offer travelers seeking extraordinary experiences in nature the opportunity to slow down and awaken their senses truly.

Innovation is one of our core values, and we continually strive to improve our lodges, intuitive service, or thinking. We will only develop new lodges if they are as good as, or better than, what we already have.
We have innovated many parts of our guest experience, examples like removing high-tea due to waste and healthy eating; removing a large portion of animal protein for sustainability, adding bean-to-cup coffee machines in suites; adding massage bed to each suite at Singita Kwitonda, Meditation decks at Singita Sabora; bar-deli fridges at some lodges where guests can help themselves to healthy snacks; adding two art galleries selling only African art; collaboration with South African fashion designer Thebe Magugu.

Singita's 100-year purpose is to protect and preserve significant parts of African wilderness areas for future generations. It is at the heart of everything we do and every business decision.

We celebrated our 30th anniversary last year. It is our life's work to share these awe-inspiring parts of the continent with guests who appreciate and yearn for pristine, wide-open spaces while preserving the natural environment and challenging accepted norms in luxury travel to raise the bar on sustainability.

Singita's concessions, reserves, lodges, and camps are located in some of Africa's most pristine wilderness areas, and our commitment to safeguarding the precious wildlife and communities of these areas is entrenched in three core pillars: Biodiversity, Sustainability, and Community. Philosophically differentiating our business, Singita's decisions take into account 20-, 50- and 100-year horizons.
We aim to expand our conservation footprint in wilderness areas in Africa. We hope to triple our impact in years to come to contribute more to conservation and work towards the UN's 2030 conservation goals.
"Singita guests have a far-reaching impact, as they contribute to numerous conservation initiatives and community empowerment programs," says Bailes. "Modern conservation requires a keen focus on keeping tourism, communities, and wildlife in a constructive balance – and the survival of each is crucial to the survival of the whole."
