Design Thinking: Verdelimon

In Graduate School, one of the buzzwords professors love to discuss is "Design Thinking." Design Thinking is an iterative process in which we seek to understand the user, challenge assumptions, and redefine problems to identify alternative strategies and solutions that might not be instantly apparent with our initial level of understanding (Dam and Siang). Design Thinking enables a company to understand consumer needs to serve their audience better. For this project, I contacted different companies to learn how the organizations apply Design Thinking to their market offerings. I had the to learn more about Verdelimon.

1. What makes Verdelimon different from other brands on the market?

We have built a brand that is not only committed to the customer but is also very focused on taking care of the environment, livelihoods and the women that work with us to create a great product. Our fabrics are made 100% from recycled plastic bottles. We work with single mothers from Colombia, our country of origin, to help them create their own businesses and be able to support their families. The magic of our brand comes from the prints which are inspired by the world, its nature and the cities of all the travels of our designer, every collection has a story that comes from the heart and we want to share them with all of our clients.

3. Where does Verdelimon draw inspiration from during the design process?

Our designer, Silvia de Brigard, always finds her inspiration by traveling. She admires all flora and fauna of every destination. The colors and patterns she sees turn into prints that are the core of every collection. Verdelimon is always seeking for new adventures and discoveries to translate into new creations that are timeless, making every piece a swimsuit you would be able to wear on any occasion.

Verdelimon is a comfortable and ready to show fit which embraces their bodies while having fun with daring and wild prints. Our vision is to empower all of our customers all around the world by making sure they stay true to their bodies feeling not only sexy but chic.

We are in the search of global and decentralized exposure to give access to our product to customers, globally.
