South Florida is a land of contradictions. How can the current Stanley Cup Hockey Winners, The Florida Panthers, thrive in a tropical paradise? Why do everyone and their mothers want to escape winter blues like migrating snowbirds by flying to the tri-county area (Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade)? Where can you find an authentic place in an increasingly generic world? Well, Fort Lauderdale shines as the premier travel destination where you can see world-class athletes play, warm yourself with kind people and sandy beaches, and discover the real South Florida. I should know. I'm from Fort Lauderdale. I spoke with Ebony Tyre, Public Relations Manager at Visit Lauderdale, to learn more about The Venice of America.
