Design Thinking: Arizona Love

In Graduate School, one of the buzzwords professors love to discuss is "Design Thinking." Design Thinking is an iterative process in which we seek to understand the user, challenge assumptions, and redefine problems to identify alternative strategies and solutions that might not be instantly apparent with our initial level of understanding (Dam and Siang). Design Thinking enables a company to understand consumer needs to serve their audience better. For this project, I contacted different companies to learn how the organizations apply Design Thinking into their market offerings. I had the opportunity to talk with Mary from Arizona Love to learn more about the brand.

1. What makes Arizona Love different from other brands on the market?

Arizona Love is by far a brand that stands out from the rest. We are few on the market when it comes to bandanas. Moreover, Arizona Love is more and more responsible with responsible and biodegradable materials and packaging. (Shoe pouch and not cardboard, sandals spears made with the REPREVE label).

2. How does Arizona Love stay ahead of upcoming trends?

Arizona Love is a vintage and recycled bandana brand. They are comfortable and light sandals to wear. Everyone loves and is familiar with the bandana.So those who are looking for comfort and style are always on the lookout. Moreover, day by day, we try to be 100% responsible to meet the needs of our generation.

3. Where does Arizona Love draw inspiration from during the design process?

Everything is inspired by the vintage bandana, the world of Arizona, the heat, summer, holidays, comfort, the American dream.

4. How does Arizona Love incorporate its mission and vision into its product offerings?

We have a vision that is both responsible and fun. We try to bring this out in our sandals, which are sometimes very colourful or ultra fun, like the Trekky Chou for example. We try to convey a dream in our products, the holidays...

5. What is the future of the company?

think we have a very promising future for the brand. Indeed, the bandana will always be an accessory that people love and if we stay in this responsibility, we can only improve for the days to come. Moreover, we are trying to diversify more and more to offer a wide choice in the future.
