In Graduate School, one of the buzzwords professors love to discuss is "Design Thinking." Design Thinking is an iterative process in which we seek to understand the user, challenge assumptions, and redefine problems to identify alternative strategies and solutions that might not be instantly apparent with our initial level of understanding (Dam and Siang). Design Thinking enables a company to understand consumer needs to serve their audience better. For this project, I contacted different companies to learn how the organizations apply Design Thinking into their market offerings. I had the opportunity to talk with Micheal K., the Co-Founder and Creative Director of Baboon To The Moon, to learn more about the organization.

1.What makes Baboon To The Moon different from other bag companies?
I think there are a lot of great technical products out there, but it's hard to find ones that love color and prints as much as we do. Our brand is meant to be a catalyst to having more travels and adventures, and our products are there to inspire and keep up with those adventures.

3. How does Baboon To The Moon incorporate its mission and vision into its product offerings? Our mission is to have more adventures in life. Everything we make from a product standpoint, and all of the stories we tell from a brand perspective are meant to ladder up to that mission. We try to pay attention to what inspires us to travel and have spontaneous adventures, and we inject that into the brand voice and the product offerings.
