As the school year approaches, I am one of the many people who get the pre-school year jitters. For me, the best way to combat this nervous energy is through fitness. Fitness engages both the mind and body and allows a person to step away from an issue and return with a more focused lens. I had the opportunity to speak with Kodi Berg, Founder of EQUIPT, to learn how EQUIPT elevates your workout experience.

1. How do you define a great workout?
To me a great workout is the one you take ownership of. I don't tend to do traditional workouts. I get bored and I am a working mom of 3 kids. That does not mean I am not Active, which is the differentiator to equipt. If you want a hardcore workout int he gym, awesome! Community classes? Great! Yoga, pilates or more of my style which is arm work while hiking or riding horses, wonderful. It is about defining it for yourself and committing to it.

2. How does Equipt Movement different from other workout tools?
The design is at the forefront. We believe in subtlety and in creating products that make you feel sensual and powerful when you use them, the emotional response is at the forefront as we believe that when you don't hide your weights you will reach.

3. How does Equipt Movement incorporate its mission and vision into its products?
The Ubarre began as a physical manifestation to the idea: Own U. I curse, I drink, and often I won't work out enough to have the perfect 6 pack. It doesn't matter enough. I am active and healthy and define the best version of myself. When I would see a dumbbell worst name ever!) It evokes a feeling of what you should do, how long you didn't work out. We aim to change that. U decide the best version of yourself. We skew heavily also towards the design obsessed discerning client. Take control of your life, your body and your time. Incorporate movement into daily living. I basically always have on the ankle and wrist weights. I do leg lifts while brushing my teeth, all about the efficiency!

4. What is the future of the company?
We are so excited to be having the growth we are. The product pipeline is strong, new retailers, some really fun events both traditional fitness and our no leggings required which is all about the lifestyle of movement. We are also relying heavily on adding more content to encourage people to use the tools in a multitude of ways.
